Details
This tool generates QR codes for WiFi networks. When scanned with a smartphone camera, these QR codes allow users to connect to the WiFi network without having to manually enter the network details.
This tool is perfect to generate QR codes for your office guest networks. Simply enter your WiFi network details, adjust the settings if needed, and the QR code will be generated automatically.
WiFi Settings
- Network Name (SSID): The name of your WiFi network
- Password: The password for your WiFi network
- Encryption Type: The security type of your WiFi network
- WPA/WPA2/WPA3 (Personal): Standard home/small business WiFi security
- WPA2-Enterprise (EAP): Advanced security used in corporate environments
- WEP: Legacy security (not recommended)
- None: Open network with no password
- Hidden Network: Check this if your WiFi network is hidden (not broadcasting its SSID)
WPA2-Enterprise Settings
For WPA2-Enterprise networks, you'll need additional information:
- EAP Method: Authentication protocol (PEAP, TLS, TTLS, or PWD)
- Phase 2 Authentication: Secondary authentication method (typically MSCHAPv2)
- Identity: Your username for the network
Error Correction Levels
QR codes include error correction capability to restore data if the code is damaged or partially obscured:
- Low (7%): Can restore up to 7% of damaged data
- Medium (15%): Can restore up to 15% of damaged data
- Quartile (25%): Can restore up to 25% of damaged data
- High (30%): Can restore up to 30% of damaged data
Higher error correction levels make the QR code more robust but also more complex (with more modules).
